Greenwood Primary & Nursery School  - What are we?

More Than Just a School

At Greenwood Primary and Nursery School we aim to empower every child to grow to meet their full potential and realise their dreams in a warm, respectful and caring environment. To develop a moral code that enables each child to have empathy, humility and respect for themselves and others to ensure they can play a positive role within their school, local, national and global communities.

We all work together and understand that our strive for excellence needs to be relentless; that our children have the self-confidence to attempt to achieve anything and the resilience to persevere with the challenges of today and the unknown challenges of the future.

Teamwork plays a crucial role in all we do but we also encourage independence to develop the confidence to take risks and make their own decisions.

We aim to make the school the very heart of our community to offer Kirkby in Ashfield the very best education, support, care and high expectations possible; forming mutually beneficial links.

In the event of any school closures, work will be set for our Greenwood Stars on Class Dojo before the start of the school day.

The class teacher will set work aligned to our current curriculum areas. Each class page on this website gives you more information about these.

Please contact the class teacher on DOJO should you have any queries about work set. 

Dojo is accessible on smartphones as well as on computers. If you have any technical difficulties using DOJO, please email your teacher or Miss Tucker the Headteacher who will get back to you as soon as possible.
