Exciting News – Our New School Lunch Provider!

We are delighted to share that NCC has recruited Vertas as our new school lunch provider. Vertas has a fantastic reputation for creating delicious, balanced meals that children enjoy, and we are excited for our Greenwood Stars to start experiencing everything that is on offer.

Each day, pupils will be able to choose from a variety of tasty, nutritious and freshly prepared meals, carefully designed to support healthy growth, learning and wellbeing. From comforting favourites to exciting new flavours, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Every meal also includes a dessert, making lunchtime an enjoyable and satisfying part of the school day.

School lunches are available for £3.00 per meal, offering excellent value for a freshly prepared, nutritious lunch. However, many children are eligible to receive these meals free of charge. All children in Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 can enjoy a school meal every day through the Universal Infant Free School Meals scheme. In addition, children who qualify for Free School Meals can also choose from the daily menu at no cost to their family.

We know how important it is for children to have a healthy and enjoyable lunchtime experience. Sharing a meal with friends helps develop positive eating habits, encourages children to try new foods and provides them with the energy they need for a busy afternoon of learning, exploring and achieving their best.

Ordering Your Child's Meal

To ensure your child receives their chosen meal, all lunches must be pre-ordered through Arbor. As Vertas prepares meals to order each day, orders need to be placed by 8:00am on the day the meal is required. To make things even easier for families, you can also pre-book meals for the entire term, saving time and ensuring your child's choices are secured in advance.

We encourage all families to take a look at the menus and explore the wonderful options available. Whether your child loves traditional favourites or enjoys trying something new, we're confident they will find plenty to tempt their taste buds.
