Caring for our Environment
Welcome to our Environment page!
We are proud of our school and school grounds. We always show respect and look after things around us. Miss Tucker meets with Pupil Parliament to discuss how children want to make improvements to their school. Mr Williams works incredibly hard looking after school and talks to children all day long about what he is doing to improve and maintain our environment.
Our Pond area
Did you know we have a lovely pond at Greenwood? It has 5 fish in that our children went to the pet shop and picked! It is also FULL of tadpoles at certain times of the year.
Mrs Dickson took some photos of them to share their life cycle so far.
DAY 1
Can you help us? Why are the tadpoles at the top like this? Have I fed them the correct food with cucumber?
DAY 2
SNAILS
Can you help? It looks like the snail is doing a POO!!!! Will the tadpoles eat it?
UPDATE - LOOK HOW THEY HAVE GROWN! How long do you think it will be until they get little legs?

Look at the amazing watercolours of our pond and tadpoles from KS2 this week!

About Us
At Greenwood we all know how to look after our school and environment. We help save energy in school for simple things like turning lights and boards off and checking dripping taps when our classrooms are empty. We all have separate bins to recycle paper in our classrooms.
Solar Panels
At Greenwood we have solar panels on our roof! We hope 120 panels will help save energy and money!
All of our children are aware of what to do in and around school to make sure our environment is respected and looked after. This lovely poster was bought in to emphasise this from one of our children.
