• School Valentine Discos

  Our Valentine's Discos are on Wednesday 12th February. Parents can pay on Parentpay or on the door. One adult per child please so we have room for children to boogie. Tuck shop available on the night.

  Times: 5-6pm EYFS/KS1

             6.15-7.15   KS2

• Harvest Festival in St Wilfrid's

  Thank you to all our community who attended our lovely Harvest Festival today. The children did us all proud. Wonderful singing and clear articulation of their words. Well done Y3 Superstars!

  

• Can Emergency Services Get Through?

  Please can we ask that any road users at collection and drop-off times, park considerately. Vehicles who double park do not allow space for emergency vehicles if they need to get to school. Also those who park across drop curbs are making it really unsafe for those with prams, pushchairs and wheelchairs.

  Please respect all our community if you HAVE TO bring your vehicles to school.

• Harvest Festival

  Thank you for everyone who has so far donated items for the Free-Cycle Food Kitchen who provide free meals for the community. Our Harvest Festival is at St Wilfrid's Church at 2pm on 17th October led by Year 3. The children have made some delightful artwork which adorns one of the church windows. Parents, Carers and Grandparents are all welcome to attend.

  

• Futsal Superstars

• Cross Country Success

  Our fantastic Cross Country team competed in our local competition yesterday at Kingsway. All the children did really well and we are proud of them all.  Parker  Bettie  and Sarah were outstanding and qualified  to represent  Ashfield  District at Worksop College in February. Well done to all our Greenwood Stars.

  

• Summer Reading Challenge Champions

  Big thank you to the lovely ladies from Kirkby Library who came to present our trophy and £100 worth of books for our new library. Some of the children who helped us to victory brought their certificates into assembly and got a big round of applause from everyone. There is lots of fun at the library this half term, so make sure you pop in. It's all free.

• Day of Languages

  Thursday is our annual celebration of different languages spoken in school and around the world. Children will be learning to say phrases, sing songs and learn about the countries and their culture in which the languages are spoken. 

  

• Parent Carer Forum - The PINS Project

  Please see the poster for details of a new Parent Carer forum called the PINS Project. PINS stands for Partnership in Neurodiverse Schools. This is linked to the questionnaires which many of you kindly completed. This is being run by an independent charity funded through Notts County Council Health team. 

  Please contact the school office by 3rd October if you wish to attend so we can make sure we allocate a room big enough for everyone.
