Come and join our Clever Caterpillars

Are you looking for a nursery which offers outstanding care and provision? Then Greenwood's Nursery is the place to come.

Nursery Morning Sessions 8.40-11.40

Nursery Afternoon Sessions 12.20-3.20

Full 30 hours 8.40-11.40

For those eligible for 30 hours (See information below) we also provide a delicious school meal and extra childcare over lunch (over the 30 hours provided free) This is chargeable at £2 per day (£10/week)

Our Nursery is staffed by caring, skilled, experienced professionals. Led by our F1 teachers Mrs Goff and Miss Aspinall who are supported by HLTAs Mrs Darrington and Mrs Johnson, our Clever Caterpillars are very much part of our school. They begin their Greenwood Learning Journey from the moment they come for their pre-visits. Our family school values and recognises the importance of our parent partnerships to contribute to this journey. Parental support is vital for children to be the best they can be. We support parents on the journey through our communications, meetings and workshops. Our Family support Champion , Mrs Moorehouse is always in school to support with any non-school based issues too eg housing, parenting, social care and can signpost parents to other professionals for further work. Our Nursery Team all have school email addresses which can be used to contact them. These are all on the Caterpillars page of this website. W

In Greenwood we use Teachers2Parents which manages all texts and emails to the primary contact parent. In Foundation Stage, we also use DOJO and TAPESTRY to act as a home/school messaging system. Both staff and parents can send messages and see children's learning on here. More information is given on this as part of our Welcome To Greenwood meeting for new parents.

Children start in our Nursery at the start of the term after their third birthday. We take in new children over the first week of each of the Autumn (September), Spring (January) and Summer (After Easter) terms. Parents must provide a birth certificate as proof of their child's age to start their child at the appropriate time.

Before the child joins our Greenwood family, they will be invited to a mini-visit. This is an opportunity to see your child in the setting and talk to our Foundation One Team. Our Senco, Mrs Grice and Early Language Lead, Miss Shore will be present along with our Speech & Language Therapist, Mrs Wallace.

If you'd like a tour of our setting before you register, please give me a call. I'm always very proud to show visitors around our remarkable school with our amazing staff and fantastic children.

Once your child joins our Nursery this also gives them a priority for a place in Foundation 2 over those who live outside our catchment area with no siblings already in school. This can be really important as we are annually oversubscribed for places.

As a school within the Flying High Trust, we share the vision to be the best school in the universe to bring out the BEST in your child.

I look forward to welcoming you and meeting our future Greenwood STARS. If you'd like to register your interest for a place in our Nursery, please complete the form in the parents tab at the top of the homepage, then click on registration forms. You can complete and return this via our school email admin1@greenwoodprimary.org.uk or you can pick up a paper copy from our reception and return
